We believe that:
Homework is a valuable part of a student’s experience and develops the independent learner.
Our Vision is that:
Homework contributes to students’ progress. It gives them an opportunity to:
- Work independently to develop work from lessons
- Consolidate learning
- Research new ideas or concepts
Putting the Vision into practice:
- Homework set by departments to meet the needs of the learner and the curriculum
- Homework may take the form of short tasks, longer structured tasks leading to coursework, or wider reading
- Students complete homework tasks at home or using school facilities
- Homework may be completed using ICT or by hand
- Feedback on work completed is given by teachers, peers or by students themselves
