"We believe students should have the opportunity to fulfil their intellectual spiritual and physical potential in a safe, caring and inspiring learning environment"

Students are assigned to a tutor group of 25 students when they enter the school. These tutor groups are arranged into five houses each with a Head of House and two House Mentors.

The houses are:
Courage – Virtus
Perseverance – Constantia
Endeavour – Conatus
Fortitude – Fortitudo
Belief – Fides

Each House is a community and each Tutor Group a family unit where older students support and look after the younger students and all are role models for learning to live with respect and responsibility.  Form Tutors are the members of staff with the fullest overview of their students as they monitor progress and guide them in their learning and development.

The progress of all students, including those with special educational needs, is monitored closely through the year through the summary assessment of coursework and homework.  Reports are sent home to parents twice each year and parents are invited to a parents’ evening to discuss progress.  Students with particular needs have individual plans and the Student Support Team co-ordinate review meetings with parents as appropriate to monitor progress and ensure that provision matches need
